… from home?
That is the question, I’m pondering, as I begin to test out prints of my paintings.
Now if you been following me for years, then you already know, I have never done prints of my paintings. I have always been a one of a kind original painting Artist when it comes to selling my paintings.
There’s only one time I have made a print of one of my paintings. That was for a contest won by a follower and fan of my paintings from a Halloween contest I had on my social media accounts. The print was of Church from my Pet Sematary painting. The lucky person to be the only one to own a print of that painting is Liam F. He tuned in to my live broadcast on social media and won the contest. (I’ll be bringing more live broadcasts in the very near future)
Now with that little update on prints, I’m now thinking of venturing into the print market as well. The print won in the contest was outsourced and printed professionally from an online printing service.
Although outsourcing prints is costly, would it be efficient to purchase a good printer sufficient enough for artists, that I should print my artwork myself?
I’ve done some research on printers and believe it or not, they actually have printers specifically made for us artists!
Great compact printers yet costly! Since I’m on a budget and can’t afford one of these great printers, is there a budget friendly printer that would do the job as these hight tech printers? No not really. Yet, could a $200 printer be sufficient enough to get the job done? That can only be answered if I go out and invest in such a printer and put all my high hopes and pray to the art Gods that it would be sufficient enough.
If anyone reading this blog has used a budget friendly printer to print artwork, please by all means do send me a reply on what make and model you have or are using.
