It’s been a minute since I last put my fingers to the keyboard to write out a blog post. I believe the last post was in the summer of this year. Welp, it’s now December and the new year of 2023 is only weeks away.

It’s been a very stressful end of the year months for me. Surgeries, family, friends and foes to deal with and dealt with. I put my brushes down last month to reflect on my life and to refreshen my mind and build up my imagination for new paintings in the New Year coming.

Although I’ve retired myself from making orders and putting my art up for sale, my walls are now bear with no paintings displayed, I anticipate the new paintings I will be creating for 2023 to fill up my walls. It’s pretty much a rebirth. A rebirth of myself as an artist. New challenges with new skill levels. More life moments paintings. More journal stories told through my paintings.

I’m sure many of my fellow artists of various skills, know what I’m talking about. The need for change. The need to reinvent yourself as an artist. Whether you’re a painter, cartoonist, tattooist, crafter, musician, writer, etc. you need to reinvent yourself at some point in life. The feeling of being refreshed and alive once again.

I’ll be kicking off the New year with a journal painting most likely. Perhaps a song painting depicting the last few months challenging my willpower. Whatever it may be, know that it will be the series premier of 2023. A series I’m certain will be intriguing with happiness, suspense, sadness, battle scars and strength. All told in the form of art. No words just visualization. Visualization you can see, read and hear.
